Freebie 15 - Update (entry 29)

So for the last little while I've been updating all of you on my Freebie 15 project through Traditional Pastimes here in Calgary...now all of the blocks are finished and I'm adding the sashing.

Here's my selections - what do you think?

4 rounds - two more to go...

Here's all of the blocks connected together - I'm using the rest of the scraps from the blocks to add a piano key border...pics to come.

They look very pretty. What kind of sashing will you use or will you just sew them together? I like the pop of red throughout.

Hi Myrna, thanks for your comments. The sashing is already there - I know it looks like it's part of the blocks hey - I'm still working on the border - piano keys using the left over bits from the blocks inside. I will of course post updates.

HI Valerie, thanks so much for stopping my my blog and leaving just the nicest comment! Your work is lovely, and looking at all the knitting stitch samples makes me want to cuddle up on the cough with my lovely bamboo needles. I think I need a whole day to peruse all of your resource links. Wow. What a collection!

Of course I meant "on the couch" and not " on the cough" LOL!

Hi Sonja, thanks for stopping by my blog as well and posting a comment - I knew what you meant to write:) I've always loved to knit and have knitted since I was a small child - I guess you could say I was meant to have a needle in my hand. My true passion is quilting now and I've created something over 60 quilts in the past 7 years (all sorts of shapes and sizes). Thanks again for the comment I will continue to review your blog on a regular basis - keep up the excellent work!
